Kimberly has been in the floral event business for 25 years. She comes from a family business in The New Jersey, New York area, where she was in charge of creating, managing, buying and operations. They recently expanded to Charleston, where she got involved with the CBA. Kimberly credits joining the CBA immediately upon her arrival with helping her to succeed here in South Carolina. Kimberly lives in Charleston with her husband and son and loves to work out and spend free days with my family at the beach.
David fell in love with DJing during college at NC State University and continued DJing through graduate school, receiving his law degree and MBA in 2010. David opened the Bunn DJ Company Charleston office in 2014, leaving his career as an attorney and consultant after four years. David has performed on hundreds of occasions during his 14+ year DJ career, from clubs to weddings to corporate events. David’s event-experience, education, and previous career, allows him to provide a unique perspective and assist the Board in many capacities.
Jamie moved to Charleston from her home state of Colorado in 2009, plunging right into the Event Industry. She began working in rentals and planning, which quickly led to venue management and coordinating. Having been a CBA member for the last 5 years, Jamie says that the benefits have been tremendous. From booths at the Charleston Bridal Show, networking with the Industry’s finest, publication in the annual guide, and the monthly leads list, her business has boomed!
Tonia became involved with the Charleston Bridal Association shortly after moving to Charleston over seven years ago. She found the Low Country to be the perfect location to start their full service event lighting company, with its many beautiful venues that make it the perfect place for both hometown and destination weddings. Tonia credits joining the CBA with not only being a beneficial partnership for her country, but for enriching her own life through the many people she has met through the Association.
Ellen Harrington has worked in the wedding industry for 12 years, being a part of 350+ events to date. A transplant to Charleston from a small town in Georgia, Ellen brings her hospitality and charm to a city she has found shares the same characteristics. Since moving to Charleston, Ellen has worked in event planning, management, and sales for the PGA Championship and the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. Currently, she is the General Manager of Corporate Partnerships for Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment, headquartered in New York City. As the Co-Owner and Marketing Guru for the Charleston Bridal Association, Ellen brings her decade of experience in the industry and creative mind to the promotion of wedding businesses in the Lowcountry. When not at work, Ellen spends her time on Daniel Island, cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs from afar, and exploring the Palmetto State with her dog, Ginnie Lee.
Kathy Baxley-Stewart considers herself lucky to be a life-long Charlestonian, long after her father’s family moved here from Germany in the 1850s and opened a bakery on King Street. Kathy finds immense joy in serving others and making people happy, traits that led her to the wedding industry where she has the chance to help create special moments on the most important day of people’s lives. The hopeless romantic in Kathy loves to help brides, grooms, and wedding vendors come together to make dreams come true. Kathy is married to her high school sweetheart, Lee, and they have four boys and two grandchildren.
